Poker is popular all over the world. On the one hand it is based on the card games, which were popular several centuries ago in Europe, on the other hand, the modern version of the game is an American game. There are many variations of Poker, but they differ mostly in details and all follow the same basic principles. A person who has learned these principles can play without difficulty in any game. Poker is a game of betting and card combinations. In most cases, best hand contains the five highest-ranking cards, but what is considered the best hand can vary in some types of Poker. In High/Low poker the pot can be split by two players. The player who has the strongest hand and the player, who has the weakest hand are the winners.
