Video pokers have always been very popular. Video poker originates from the original 5 card poker. Americans have been playing poker since the early 1880s. The earliest records of the video poker machine were coin operated machines which used playing cards on drums and not a CGI powered poker game. These machines came into the scene in the late 1800s, which were manufactured by Sittman and Pitt of Brooklyn. These machines worked very much like the slot machines you see today. The drums were spun by pulling the handle after inserting a coin. The player would put all his faith in luck as the drums stopped. The owner of the bar gave a player who received a winning combination drinks or cigars from the bar. Later, in 1901 ‘hold’ and ’draw’ options were added to these machines by Charles Fey. Now, that these machines had ‘draw’ and ‘hold’ features video pokers were not only the game of a chance, but also of skill. The modern video pokers appeared a little later. They appeared after the introduction of the computers. Video pokers attracted a lot of players nearly at once. Nowadays online casinos offer a great variety of video poker games.
