So how does the betting work? You have to make an Ante to receive cards. After all the cards are dealt you basically have three choices. To call means to make a bet, which at least matches the previous bet. You can raise, but before you have to meet the highest bet of the table. After you call the other amount it is basically up to you how much you want to bet. Let's take the example from above: somebody on the table raises a dollar, you have to call him with a dollar and then you can raise whatever you want. In some casinos there is a raising limit, which can’t be exceeded. You are out of the game if you fold. You lose you bet and any chance of winning.
