There are at least two main attributes for each of these types. If the player is tight (plays very few hands) or loose (plays a lot of hands): If the player is aggressive (raises and bluffs) or passive (calls other players bets). These players can only make money in a game with a lot of wild players and generally have to depend on luck to have a successful poker session. They typically will simply call the bets of the other players disregarding the Pot Odds or strength of their hand. Unlike other players these ones can stay in the game for a very long period of time. But still even they are not able of beating the house. Tight-Passive What allows players of this type to win is other players who play the game wrong. Such players are easy to notice. Players of this type never bluff. This player is more likely to call the bets of other players or to make small bets. If not, they will fold. Tight-Aggressive This style can be very successful for online play. These players will only see a flop with a decent hand and will then take a shot at the pot after the flop with a bet.
